Kate, being a photographer herself, opted to do a first look with Caleb before their ceremony and it made me so happy to hear from them weeks later that the first look ended up being one of their most favorite shared moments of their wedding day.

Kate described it this way: “It took a lot of pressure off the ceremony and it gave us time together outside the chapel. We told each other I love you and held each other tight. It was nice.”

After the ceremony we took some family portraits and then finished up with a few more bride-groom portraits in some particularly meaningful spots to Kate and Caleb.

For example, this is the exact spot where Caleb proposed to Kate right outside the chapel.

The building behind them is where they first met as resident assistants the first day of the school semester.

Aren’t Caleb’s grandparents just the sweetest? I don’t know if they were off the dance floor for more than two songs the entire night.
