with this ring: justine & jon // mckinney cotton mill wedding photography
I’m so excited to share Justine and Jon’s wedding with all of you. It’s the McKinney Cotton Mill DIY wedding of two artists and it’s filled with soft greens and blush pinks, oragami cranes, and giant paper flowers.
Bonus points — Ruffled published it to their blog too!
Justine and her bridesmaids started the day off at her parent’s home.
Jon and his groomsmen got ready at the NYLO hotel in Plano which made for an excellent backdrop for their prep photos.
Upon arriving at the McKinney Cotton Mill, Justine and Jon proceeded into a first look before the ceremony, which made for such a quality (and ridiculously adorable) capture of their reactions to seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day.
Oh stop. I can’t even handle the sweetness.
And there’s the origami crane wall. It’s a wall of paper cranes. A. WALL.
It’s just that I think you two are one of the most adorable couples in existence.
Y’all, I still can’t get over the cranes.
Have I mentioned that I love photographing outdoor wedding ceremonies? Because I love photographing outdoor wedding ceremonies.
And then there were more amazing details.
And while you’re viewing them, go ahead and ponder how Justine put this all together without ever having attended a wedding before this one. WHAT?! Round of applause.
Yes. Yes, that is a groom’s cake made to look like Boba Fett’s helmet. It’s like, just when I think this wedding can’t get any more awesome, there’s a Star Wars cake.
Oh, and more cranes.
But really, I don’t think Justine’s parents could possibly be cuter.
After dinner Justine and Jon made a quick wardrobe switch to traditional Chinese wedding outfits for their Chinese tea ceremony — so much fun!
A couple of sunset portraits? I believe we will.
Justine and Jon — y’all put on one heck of a wedding.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for choosing us as your documentarians. We couldn’t have imagined a more genuine couple, from kinder families, with better style than the two of you.
I’m still not over all of those paper cranes, by the way.

Who makes those mint dresses?
Looking for that exact color! 🙂
