Sometimes when I think about the amazing and kind brides that I get to work with, I am just overwhelmed with how blessed I am.
To know these people.
To photograph these people.
To work with these people.
Katie is one such jewel of a client and these are a few of her bridals.
Thinking of her husband-to-be, Matt, Katie decided to work his Dallas Mavericks into her bridal session. Good woman, good woman.
As we wrapped up the session Katie asked if her friend and bridesmaid, Beca, could snap a photo of the two of us together and OF COURSE I obliged the honor.
Katie, you are such a beauty and a dear and I hope these photos show that.
And happy, happy married life to you and Matt!

Lezlie and Justin.
Justin and Lezlie.
Just thinking about how sweet these two are together makes me smile.
The three of us got together a couple of weeks ago in Farmers Branch for their engagement session that started out with a picnic because picnics are kind of “their thing.” They went on a picnic on their first date and they also enjoyed a picnic right before Justin proposed. Fweet!
Having a cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows may have segued into  a marshmallow fight of sorts . . .
Can we talk about how great an outfit choice Lezlie made by adding in that pop of pattern and color with that gorgeous scarf? Loved. it.
JUST LOOK AT THOSE ADORABLE FACES?? Are those not the most adorable facial expressions ever?
Justin is a fellow lover of photography, as well as a super-talented videographer. James and I have worked several weddings with Justin Lowe Productions, and love referring him to our brides and grooms for wedding videography.
Root beer is another one of Justin and Lezlie’s “things” so we integrated it into the session as well.
One snazzy outfit change later, we wrapped up the second half of the shoot.
Lezlie and Justin — April cannot come quickly enough because I cannot WAIT to have the two of y’all back in front of my camera again. I’m sure that’s the only reason y’all are looking forward to April as well, right? ]
Happy Friday, all!

You guys, I cannot tell you how excited I am about this new venture.
I was sitting at my desk editing a wedding last week and literally found myself moved to tears at how thankful I am to have this job and how gracious the Lord has been to us in allowing us to do what we love with people we adore. I’m so looking forward to what will come in 2013. There is something about the fresh outlook and anticipation a new year brings and I wanted to share some of my 2013 giddiness by giving away a full day of wedding photography coverage by yours truly and my handsome second-shooter (aka my super-talented husband, James). We are hoping to reach out to brides and grooms all over the world who are planning a wedding day that will be filled to the brim with heart.
Weddings can be on any day of the week — it does not have to be on a weekend to be eligible.
JZP (meaning myself and James) will deliberate over the entries and announce the contest winner on February 28th.
Top 3 runners up will receive a significantly discounted rate for JZP wedding photography services.
There will be prizes in the form of a free photo session for the person who refers the winning couple/wedding to us — so please share, share, share the giveaway on Facebook, Instagram, via word-of-mouth, email, carrier pigeons — you name it!
If you have any questions about the contest feel free to comment below or send me an e-mail to photo@jillianzamora.com
If you would like a travel quote to your specific venue, please e-mail me at photo@jillianzamora.com.

Again, we are SO excited about this and we hope you are too!
November is a great month because it holds all the anticipation of fall, Thanksgiving, pumpkin spice lattes at Starbucks and pre-Christmas excitement but without days holding so many to-do’s that you can’t even enjoy any of it. Yes, I enjoy November for these reasons AND because this month held so many sessions with so many wonderful clients.
For starters, I got to photograph an anniversary session for Laura and Laramy, whose engagements I photographed back in 2010 I think?? A long time ago, for sure. I thought it was so sweet that they wanted their anniversary photos taken at their wedding venue – Lost Oak Winery in Burleson.
Next up is Laura and Tristan’s wedding day, which included lots and lots of sparkles and glitter. Check. out. Laura’s. hair.
In this next session I had a wonderful afternoon meeting up with the lovely, silly, lively Edwards family in Denton.
November was the month I got to introduce my dear blogging assistant, Danielle! All of this blogging catch-up would not be possible without her. Plus, isn’t she just really adorable too?!
Kaitlin has got to be among the most sweetest brides to have ever walked the face of this earth — here are a few of her sun-drenched bridals.
The Luttmer family had me come out to their family land to take some extended family portraits. We all braved the wind to get some sweet shots!
Sigh. The Palominos. Love them. Love, love them.
While I have photographed the Aldrich family multiple times now, this was my first chance to photograph their newest member — little Landree!
It will always be an honor to be asked to photograph another photographer and Julie’s college graduation portraits were no exception. I was especially honored because she drove all the way from Lubbock for the session! Congratulations on graduation, Julie!
I’m thankful for all that November held and now I’m ready to get to blogging December! SO CLOSE to being 100% caught back up!
