My absolute most favorite part of yesterday’s wedding was the mother of the bride’s toast — “may Sara and Kyle always be like two kids on an adventure.”
Wow oh wow.
This mid-January wedding was just so great to shoot because the entire day was just cram-packed with love, sincerity, the Gospel, light and pretty little mint-colored details.
We started the day off at the beautiful Wyatt Mansion in Waxahachie, Texas. Enjoy.
And here you have two of the nicest people out there — Matt and Katie.
Matt and Katie wanted to plan a first look into their wedding day, and I have to say, after documenting their reactions to seeing each other and the gorgeous resulting natural light portraits, I’m so glad they did.
Katie and Matt — I FOR REAL cannot get over how stunning you two are together. So, ya know, good job on that.
The American flag socks Matt sported on his wedding day were a copy cat of the socks his father wore on his wedding day.
After finishing up portraits at Wyatt Mansion we all loaded up and headed to Matt and Katie’s church for the ceremony.
Before the wedding party processional started, a video Katie and Matt had made of the two of them together recounting their love story played. Needless to say, it was real sweet.
Back at Wyatt Mansion the party went into full swing.
James and I so loved being a part of this day. Thank you for letting us.
Lezlie and Justin.
Justin and Lezlie.
Just thinking about how sweet these two are together makes me smile.
The three of us got together a couple of weeks ago in Farmers Branch for their engagement session that started out with a picnic because picnics are kind of “their thing.” They went on a picnic on their first date and they also enjoyed a picnic right before Justin proposed. Fweet!
Having a cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows may have segued into  a marshmallow fight of sorts . . .
Can we talk about how great an outfit choice Lezlie made by adding in that pop of pattern and color with that gorgeous scarf? Loved. it.
JUST LOOK AT THOSE ADORABLE FACES?? Are those not the most adorable facial expressions ever?
Justin is a fellow lover of photography, as well as a super-talented videographer. James and I have worked several weddings with Justin Lowe Productions, and love referring him to our brides and grooms for wedding videography.
Root beer is another one of Justin and Lezlie’s “things” so we integrated it into the session as well.
One snazzy outfit change later, we wrapped up the second half of the shoot.
Lezlie and Justin — April cannot come quickly enough because I cannot WAIT to have the two of y’all back in front of my camera again. I’m sure that’s the only reason y’all are looking forward to April as well, right? ]
Happy Friday, all!
Blog readers, don’t forget to enter/share the JZP wedding photography giveaway! For details, read this blogpost.
This is my dear friend Brittney.
We celebrated with her and her husband Joel at their wedding this December (blogpost to come, preview can be viewed here) so I’m terribly excited to finally be blogging a few photos from her North Texas Fair bridal session.
For those of you who know Brittney, you know that within that teeny, tiny body of hers is a whole lot of vibrant, vivacious, excited personality. If there was ever a bride who needed a vibrant, vivacious, exciting bridal session smack dab in the middle of a fair, I’d say that bride would be Brittney.
Sending my love to you and Joel in Alaska, Biddi!
Also blog-readers — be sure to check back on the blog later today for an exciting announcement from JZP :)))))
