kate and caleb

On the day of Kate and Caleb’s engagement session just about every single thing that could go wrong for me did. I won’t go into the grand details but let’s just say the hour before the session involved getting locked out of my apartment and a frantic switching of cars and quite a few tears. Oh yeah and it was RAINY on the day I had a photo shoot scheduled with a couple who had travelled down from HOUSTON for the session.

But when I arrived at Recycled Books to meet up with Kate and Caleb their sweet demeanor calmed me right down and I couldn’t have asked for better clients to work with after the stressful afternoon I had undergone. They didn’t stress about the rain and just decided to be their adorable selves indoors.

Kate is wearing a classy little bug brooch on her dress! You know what kind of person wears adorable bug brooches on pretty lace dresses? Cute girls.

Because of the rain we decided (with fingers crossed) to just meet up the next afternoon to finish up with the outdoor portion of their shoot as long as it didn’t keep raining.

Thankfully the rain subsided and I got the grand pleasure of spending two afternoons in a row with this lovely couple.  And although it was incredibly muggy, Kate and Caleb were both such troopers!

Kate is currently working on completing her masters of photography so of course she needed to represent that huge part of her life in the engagement session! Yay for fellow lovers of photography!!

Be sure not to miss the titles of the books they’re reading — both are “Caleb and Kate,” because apparently those are names that sound so great together they belong in a storybook . . . or two!

These two also share a fondness for bikes, so that’s exactly where we ended the session — two bikes and a lot of fondness.

Kate and Caleb, y’all are beyond precious together and I simply cannot wait for your wedding next summer!
