This couple.
You guys, I don’t even have words for them.
Stacy and Sterling: it’s such a sweet, sweet thing to see you two engaged. Such a sweet thing.
I loved everything about this shoot.
I should probably write more, seeing as how I think really highly of Stacy and Sterling and also how I’ve put off posting these for a few days because I couldn’t quite think of what to write about these two, but I’ll just leave it at that.
Besides, I think their smiles tell most of the story anyway.
Stacy and Sterling, I have so much joy in my heart for y’all in this engagement season and I am so stoked to shoot your wedding this July.
You guys, my heart just about broke when I realized I wasn’t available for this sweet couple’s wedding date. But getting the pleasure of taking their engagement photos was the very next best thing I could have hoped for.
In college I took two upper-level government classes with the lovely Lindsey and over those two semesters I learned that this girl is a hard worker, has a heart for the Lord and  is just as sweet as can be. She and Trent had just started dating about the time that we were in class together and she would always speak so highly of him at our study sessions. I could see why though, as I had met Trent through some mutual friends and from only a couple of limited group interactions with him my only take-away was that he had to be one of the nicest, most sincere guys out there.
And while I knew that Lindsey was brilliant in college government classes and that Trent was super-personable in group situations, I DIDN’T know that they are both incredibly talented musicians who help lead worship at their church in Justin.
But now I do.
I’m so glad they chose to represent this huge part of their lives into their engagement photos by integrating a piano into a portion of their session.
We finished up their session with soft sunset light and a vintage car.
Lindsey and Trent, I am beyond ecstatic for y’all in this special engagement season. Thanks for letting me document a portion of it!
Twenty minutes before Kathleen and Shane’s session was set to start I was sitting in a  little chocolate shop in downtown Calvert, Tx where the three of us were set to meet up and I get a phone call.
On the other end I hear Kathleen’s sweet, slightly pained voice say, “Hi Jillian . . . “
That sweet, slightly pained voice was coming from about 15 miles away on the side of the highway where Kathleen and Shane were stranded after a tire blowout.
Needless to say, my first meeting of these two started with a rescue mission but ended with us taking some gorgeous portraits of such a kind and adorable couple. Enjoy a peek into a few of my favorites from their engagement session!
I l-o-v-e those boots, Kathleen. Shane chose a girl with styyyyyyle.
ALSO you can tell that Kathleen and I are a good client-photog fit because her next blouse totally matches my logo. Holla.
Loved, loved, loved working with these two. I’m so pumped to shoot their wedding this August!
Megan and Daniel’s Grapevine engagement session fell on a cloudy and windy day but we managed to get all of their session in before the drizzle set in. I love how the images turned out and Megan and Daniel for being all adorable in spite of the elements. Enjoy a few of my favorites from the session!
