Some couples let cold, cloudy forecasts for their session dates get them down.
And that’s understandable. I actually totally get that. I really love shooting in sunshine, myself.
And then there are some couples who use cold, cloudy days as all the more reason to snuggle tighter.
Kirsten and Justin are one such couple.
Kirsten and Justin, thank y’all for taking this cold, dreary March afternoon and seeing it as an opportunity for warming up with Kirsten’s little happy dance that would make Justin look off and pretend like he wasn’t cracking up.
I’m so excited for you May wedding because I know that rain or shine there will be laughs and hugs and probably some more happy dances from Kirsten.
Welcome to a short little peek into Jamie and Kevin’s sweet and sunny engagement session at Shadow Ridge Farms in Dallas.
Jamie is one of those people who just appears to be bursting at the seams with pure sunshine. Â As I was typing that sentence, I knew it could come off super corny, but it’s true. She’s all smiles. And Kevin is the good man standing beside her. I’m so glad their session was a sunny one because it wouldn’t have fit these two any other way.
Shadow Ridge Farms is currently run by THE SWEETEST couple in all of Dallas — Geri and Jed Thompson — who were kind enough to let us shoot on their gorgeous property for Jamie and Kevin’s session. This is my internet-shoutout-electronic-hug to them!
It’s a perfect day to post this session because it’s delightfully sunny outside TODAY too! I’m just going to go ahead and say it’s for Jamie and Kevin.
Happy Thursday, everyone!
Today seems like a great day to post a few of Jill and Matt’s gorgeous engagement portraits we took one evening last month around Dallas.
Being in love sure is pretty.
We ended the session in a field with the sun setting over the Dallas skyline.
Gotta love those city lights and a couple in love.
Jill and Matt’s Ritz Carlton wedding will be here before we know it and that is an exciting thought.
I so enjoyed meeting up with Stephanie and Chris in Austin last month for their engagement session. I was already in love with this couple because
1) they’re getting married in the Dallas Aquarium next January (how COOL is that??),
2) they wanted to road trip to one of their (and my) favorite Texas cities for their engagement sessions
3) AND THEN Â throw in all the sparkles Stephanie wore to the shoot
There’s no denying that I’m a big fan of these two.
The next Austin stop was out on Lady Bird Lake where Stephanie and Chris like to go to canoe, you know, when it’s not February.
Stephanie and Chris, I loved, loved, loved working with y’all on this session and I’m so excited for your aquarium wedding next year!
Happy Monday, everyone!
