Katie-and-Kyle happened naturally.
They both went to the same university.
They had some mutual friends.
They ended up together.
It’s a lot of people’s love story — mine and James’ actually.
But there is something about this Katie-and-Kyle thing that’s so clearly extraordinary at the same time.
Like how they’re obviously comfortable with playful banter but I see their it almost even more so when they’re just quiet and close.
That specific way Kyle’s eyes light up when Katie makes one of her silly Katie faces.
The different way his eyes light up when she’s in his arms.
You may have a similar short-version love story to a lot of people, Katie and Kyle. But your love? It’s customized.
I loved spending this Saturday morning with y’all for your engagement session and I can’t wait until the next Saturday we have planned to all spend together — Â your wedding day! YAY!
Welcome to a peek into Danielle and David’s engagement session.
These two were all giggles to start the shoot off. That excited energy is one of my favorite things about photographing an engaged couple — they are typically at their giddiest and giggliest state of being.
I met Danielle when we were both still in college at UNT, before she had met David and before I had any real inclination that I’d be a wedding photographer. Â I started taking portraits for people here and there which eventually turned into weddings here and there and that is when Danielle told me right in my first year of wedding photography that I’d one day be her wedding photographer. There wasn’t any particular guy on the radar on that moment but she let me know right then and there that she believed in me. Warmed my newbie photographer heart.
So when I received an e-mail from Danielle years later with mention of this guy named David who had stolen her heart and a wedding in the near future the starting line was all, “I told you so . . .“
So getting to photograph these two in this sweet season of their engagement and knowing that in September I’ll be getting to photograph their sweet wedding day warms my photographer heart all over again.
So basically I think you”re gorgeous, Danielle. Just thought you should know.
You two. You two are so sweet together.
Thank you, Danielle for choosing me to photograph this season before you even knew who you’d be sharing it with.
XOXO and happy Tuesday.
Right now I’m just really loving this single frame from Robert and Amber’s engagement session.
When it comes to Kirsten and Jeremy being engaged, there is honestly no better word that I can think of for these two than “blissful.”
I think that’s the way it should be.
I had just met Jeremy for the first time at the engagement session but I knew that if he was the man that Kristen was going to marry that he had to be QUAL-I-TY because I can honestly say that Kristen is among the sweetest people I’ve ever had the honor of knowing. For as long as I have known her she has radiated joy, thankfulness and Jesus constantly to everyone around her.
In other news, “radiate” is a good word. We should all use that verb more often.
Alright, now get ready for a peek into the second segment of their engagement photos. Something you should know about these two — Jeremy is a youth minister and Kristen is highly involved with the college ministry at FBC Denton, so you had to know that Nerf guns were bound to surface in their engagement session at some point, right?
Guys, engagement is a real good look for y’all.
Kristen and Jeremy, I could not be happier for y’all. My heart was practically exploding at y’all’s engagement session seeing how apparent your love for each other is and how well y’all care for one another and for others. And I can’t wait for more near heart explosion at your July wedding.
