This week may have started off stormy and overcast so I figured that’s all the more reason to post a sunny little engagement session from last month in Waco.
The beaming guy pictured here is Robert — he was James’ best man in our wedding and an all-around great guy. That gorgeous girl to the right? That right there is the girl who’s stolen his heart and is going to become his wife come September. James and I couldn’t be happier with this match and so enjoy each and every opportunity we’ve had to get to know Amber — ya know, at their proposal and then again at their engagement session. Â Even though we’ve only met twice I already feel certain she’s sweet as can be!
They wanted to use coffee art for their save the dates which I thought was just THE most clever idea ever.
After coffee, we headed across the street to the Baylor University campus, where both Amber and Robert attended college and also where these two officially started dating.
I love, love, love when a session ends with the most perfect light and the most perfect closeness.
High five and that’s a wrap.
Cannot wait for September.
Amy, Kenny and I got together in Dallas a few weeks back to take their engagement photos and these are just a few of my favorites!
When I was scouting the area I came upon this row of bikes and thought they were just fun but when I pitched the idea to Amy and Kenny it turns out Kenny is an avid bike-rider and competitor — it was meant to be.
Can we all just talk about how sitnkin’ adorable Amy is? Check out how amazingly she styled her two engagement session outfits — both are completely original looks but are using the same dress. So fun. Good job, Amy. This makes me even MORE excited to see what you two put together for your wedding day.
Amy and Kenny — thank you for choosing me as your engagement and wedding photographer. Can’t wait until your Hickory Street Annex wedding later this summer!
Darling is what Janelle and Dustin are.
Just darling.
Oh, and also engaged.
These two are darling and engaged.
I’m just not sure if it gets cuter than this.
I’m so excited and honored to be able to document this grand adventure of engagement and marriage that you two are living right now, Janelle and Dustin.
Hope you all have a lovely Friday!
Jen and Josh are pretty much a dream to work with.
All smiles.
Super in love.
And then they were all “oh yeah, we want to include a vintage Vespa and huge balloons in our session while wearing a classy coral dress and dapper tailored suit. Hope that’s okay. . .”
Yes, Jen and Josh. Yes, that is very much okay.
After we’d had enough Vespa fun, we headed over to The Gingerman in Dallas to take a few chill shots at the spot where Jen and Josh went on their first date.
Funny story — Jen couldn’t find the scarf she thought she brought along for this outfit so naturally she just asked one of the bartenders working at The Gingerman if she could borrow the one she was wearing. No one can say no to Jen’s sweet face, so the bartender just kindly handed it over while we stepped outside to take some pictures. So thank you Mrs. Gingerman bartender, for your service to this photo shoot.
It wasn’t long until Jen and Josh were back in their super-sleek outfits to end the shoot around their neighborhood in downtown Dallas.
I told Jen I was just a little bit obsessed with her hair, so I wanted to take some photos that highlighted those beautiful locks.
I couldn’t be more pleased with how this session turned out and I am downright GIDDY that this weekend James and I will be headed out to Fischer, Texas to shoot Jen and Josh’s lovely wedding at Rancho Mirando.
Happy Monday, all!
