Oh these two. I can’t begin to put their preciousness into words, so hopefully these photos can do it some justice.
We met up at Spiral Diner, a favorite of Bita and Jack’s stops when they’re in Dallas, for a milkshake. Then we hit up Bishop Arts District and y’all, Society smells so good I can’t EVEN. I should shoot inside a candle shop every single day of my life, or maybe move my office into one . . . hmm, all good thoughts.
Enjoy a look into Bita and Jack’s Dallas engagement session!
I sure enjoyed my time with these two and I am SO PUMPED for their wedding at the end of this month.
Spring dreams are made of these.
Brace yourselves, because this is a pretty long blogpost for an engagement session but I just cannot help myself. Together Meri Sue and Matt share an incredibly vivacious energy, as if just being near the other compels them to be more excited about life. I like that about them.
We met up in Dallas at Crooked Tree Coffee House — a coffee shop they stumbled upon on their first dating anniversary –Â on a wintery afternoon for their engagements.
The second half of their session was also a nod to their first dating anniversary, when they hopped on one of the Dallas trolleys to see where it would take them.
The only problem we had was that we could not, for the life of us, get on a trolley. We must have gone to three different stops but no trolley came.
We were actually in the process of surrendering our hopes of getting any trolley photos when we saw flashing police lights at the end of the street we were facing, and those red and blue lights were hitting a broken down trolley in the middle of an intersection (hence the trolley not making it to any of our previous stops). I’ll be honest, I was highly doubtful that we’d be allowed onto the trolley while it waited for electricity to get it running again but good ‘ole Matt asked the conductor and he so graciously obliged to let us on the empty, stationary trolley. We really could not have planned the circumstances to have worked out better than they did.
We may have only had eight or so minutes in that trolley but Meri Sue and Matt WORKED it in the few minutes we had, and I’m so happy with the result.
Praise God from Whom all blessings flow for the grand, enjoyable and fortuitous afternoon I was able to spend with Meri Sue and Matt. I’m so thankful y’all chose me to document such a treasured season in your lives.
