I decided that if I was going to meet baby Charlotte in the flesh, ya know, outside her mother’s womb, it was about time I get Chris and Liand’s maternity session up on my blog.

Life is so crazy and glorious and beautiful, and praise God, from Whom all life and blessings flow, for designing it this way.

Chris and Liand’s maternity sessions is one of my favorites because they literally just wanted to walk around their delightful little Denton neighborhood — the neighborhood that they love, live in and have now brought precious Charlotte home to.

This. This photo above gets me each and every time. You two are going to be such great parents and I’m just so happy for y’all.

Newby’s, I love y’all. I can’t believe y’all are real, live PARENTS. A MOTHER AND FATHER TO A HUMAN BEING NAMED CHARLOTTE. I’m so excited for y’all. What a sweet, sweet adventure y’all are living.

There is something so invigorating about a new year, a fresh start. January and February are generally the times I purposefully set aside to work on things I can never seem to get to during wedding season (basically March-November this past year) — things like:

– being 100 % caught up on editing (I’m GETTING there)

– sprucing up our apartment (maybe start by just getting it CLEAN)

– cooking some decent meals (any warm, home-made meals at all would be a step up, let’s be real)

– BLOGGING catch up

– keeping the one plant in my office alive

– updating my website portfolios, among various other business updates/reassessments

So in an attempt to bring myself closer to at least one of the above-mentioned goals, I’ve condensed several photo sessions from November into a single post to show some of the highlights from that month. Enjoy!

Happy Friday, all!

Dotson’s, y’all are continually one of my most favorite families to photograph. Thanks for starting off my 2014 blogging right.

Can we just talk about how Sarah made this afghan? Straight up crocheted it with her two amazingly, talented momma hands.

Merry 2014, all!

Forgive, I’ve been a bit of a bum blogger lately. September was one of my busiest months of this year with two double wedding weekends, bringing me to a grand total of six weddings in four weeks. I’ve lots of pretty wedding and engagement photos to share on the blog soon, but I thought I might mix things up a bit with some mother-son photos I took a month or so ago out in Round Rock.

It wasn’t an extensively planned shoot and it wasn’t in a particularly amazing location — just a local park — but I’m really pleased with the way these photos show just a simple, particularly sweet slice of life for this beautiful family.

Happy Wednesday — I’m off to photograph a friend’s engagement session!
