blissfully engaged: jacob + liz // denton engagement photographer
Their first date was at West Oak Coffee Bar. Well, at least it was supposed to be there, until Jacob’s alarm didn’t go off (he accidentally had set it as a weekday alarm instead of a weekend) and Liz sat there waiting on him to show up, praying that he wouldn’t because WHO WAS THIS GUY GONNA BE ANYWAY, and was a blind date really worth the effort it takes to meet someone new? Her prayers were answered, this bozo stood her up.
And I suppose that could have very well been the end of the story. Except Jacob apologized profusely and Liz is incredibly gracious, so they had a second first date a week or so later. Jacob arrived half an hour early this time. That was January. And now they get married in two days.
As the older sister to the bozo, I couldn’t possibly be more thrilled to have my brother marry someone as warm and thoughtful and generous and wonderful and (OBVIOUSLY) beautiful inside and out as Lizbeth. She’s PRIMO sister material, as she’s already shown time and time and time again even in the relatively short span I’ve had the privilege of knowing her.
And, y’all, just look at how unbelievably happy my brother is. LOOK.
A HUGE HUGE HUGE FOREVER THANK YOU to our collective friend Cindy who set up Jacob and Liz in the first place.
To Jacob she said, “You need to date my friend, Liz. She’s amazing and you’d hit it off.”
To Liz she said, “You should meet Jacob — you both like travel and missions and you’re both kind of weird.”
BOTH ARE TRUE AND THIS — all the love and joy that can be so clearly seen in all of the photos in this post you just made it to the end of –WOULDN’T HAVE HAPPENED WITHOUT YOUR BEAUTIFUL MEDDLING, CINDY. THANK YOU.
